They are simply different lengths for different looks. the actual rise of the pant will stay the same, it's just the thickness of the band that is changing. I still like my full length work pants, but those are becoming less and less prevalent in favor of the ankle length. Actually, who knows could be entirely arbitrary to cut costs. If there's any cool design(aka fading or ombr ) you will loose some of it. The 2 inches will still be long enough for those w longer legs, and just be a tad more appealing to most women who need hems, or those who have just suck up the bunchy-ness that forms in the bottoms! I never considered the WUP to be for tall women, nor did I consider the High Times to be for shorter women. Now I can finally buy the full lengths and they'll actually be full lengths, As a current educator - The actual height of the pant/waistband isn't changing, they're only moving the seam of the pant to make the waistband "look" and measure shorter than before. I only buy hi rise pants from lulu because they hit at the perfect spot on me. Oh good to know! I was just on lulu website & looking at the size chart so I guess the AU size 10 is equivalent to US size 6, right? I quickly became frustrated with the sleeve length and inseam on other brands and now it seems lulu is trending that way.
